BOX Studios had the privilege of partnering with Coeur Mining on their new office buildout at 200 S. Wacker Drive in Chicago. Coeur Mining was attracted to the building’s location on the Chicago River with its stunning panoramic views and proximity to the bustling city life on Wacker Drive. The client tasked BOX with designing a spacious, welcoming environment that would seamlessly integrate the surrounding cityscape into the interior design.
Although the unique diamond-shaped building and its rotated core presented a challenge during space planning, BOX leveraged the unexpected angles, strategically locating the break area in the northwest corner to take full advantage of the coveted river views.
Reflecting Coeur Mining's commitment to sustainability, the project emphasized eco-friendly practices through the integration of energy-efficient lighting, thoughtfully curated materials, and the seamless incorporation of natural elements and greenery. BOX prioritized the creation of an adaptable space that caters to Coeur Mining's evolving needs as a growing enterprise. The carefully curated furniture arrangements foster a flexible work environment that promotes productivity and diverse modes of collaboration and social interaction.
